The beginning of the year.

I came from Tautoro school, It was a much smaller school than Bay of islands College. The only people I knew were my uncle and his friends, initially I was excited since this would be my new school and I would hopefully make some friends that would not dislike me, I got lost rather easily even though they showed us around  but the next day it was somewhat difficult to fit in since I was much weirder then now. So far it has occasionally been noisy and irritating but it is nice, my classmates occasionally remind me of my cousins due to their behavior. At the end of this year I find myself able to go onto the taumata without worry and I will lose my title of Sstudent leader once this year has ended.

Dissection reflection

Reflection

Though I missed the dissection I was told to still do a reflection so I did. I do believe it would be a very fun experience and since I can’t smell much I’d make a superb surgeon. I do wish I could cut open a calf’s heart and see the inside of it.  I’m excited for when I get to dissect a calf heart.

9W Learning english 01/08/25

Apologies seems I am unable to show the doc anywho. This short film revolves around a young boy with a BMX bike and God. The small film starts off with a cliff and on that cliff is a man and a ice cream truck, the old man/God is consuming as ice cream and the kid appears and asks the man for an ice cream the man says no, the boy then notices the cliff and thinks it a perfect bomb spot so he takes off his shirt and gets ready to jump the man is surprised and dropped his ice cream in the process. The kid comes back and asked who the old man is, the man says he is God and the boy doesn’t believe him. So after god jumps into he water and comes back out dry the boy believes him and God offers the boy an ice cream.

Mushroom project

About our mushroom experiment. We did this for our first English class on March 6 2025

We named our fungi child Lil dawg, we did this by putting names into a hat and grabbing the first name in hand, We did this under the supervision of one of our two awesome English teachers Whaea Jamie.

You can see Lil dawgs species and his transformation through age and rebirth, I personally enjoyed raising and checking on Lil dawg while juggling school work and low attention spans ranging from a second to an hour.

Yr 8 speech reflection

Kia ora koutou for the last two weeks of school, we decided to make speeches for our graduation dinner, I just want to talk about all the learning I did throughout the years here at Tautoro Kura, I want to talk about how my learning went when I was in ruma wha(4) when I had just started tautoro, our old teacher was Whaea Rosina, She was nice and taught me how to count, write, and read better, I’m thankful to her to giving me a great start in learning after a year with her I moved to room 5 where Matua Mat taught us, but after being transferred to room 6 the real trouble began the work was tough and the teacher Whaea Mary was tougher but she meant well in her own way but it didn’t really work I was held back a year for not paying attention in class and not understanding the work after finally being transferred to room 7 it was better and I often understood the work after learning what Whaea Rachelle taught us, I was moved to the class I’m in now Room 8, I’ll miss tautoro school it was full of so many things laughter, some regret, but most of all memories.

Kia ora koutou, ko christina Adams,

I’m from Tautoro. I live in town and I’ve been at Tautoro School for 6 years,

My time here at Tautoro School has taught me alot of things like te reo maori, math, and literacy, I want to share what my favorite learning experience which was learning my favorite subject- math!  I enjoyed using my time’s timetables, and solving equations, though my greatest achievement was meeting new people and exploring new places,

I have set goals for myself in the future and I believe I’ll get there, with my family and friends beside me nothing will stop me from achieving my goals for the future, the thing I’m most excited about for college is seeing the friends I made there when we visited,

One of the things I want to learn after I leave Tautoro is ventriloquism, I’m also excited about learning new things and making more friends, but I will always think of the times I’ve had here at Tautoro School, Tena koutou, tena koutou, tena koutou, katoa.
